saucy redheads

last night i had a terrible dream. i was catching my highschool bus, holding a kitten, and then the bus missed my stop, i kept falling over, people got angry at me, then i got off the bus at the beach, hid in the bathroom, and my kitten had turned into a hard boiled egg. i broke the egg and there was only yellow yolk inside. then the yolk turned into a severed cats head. i woke up feeling bad.

grey gardens

after seeing drew barrymore being interviewed about her grey gardens film on tv twice this week, i caved in and just ordered the grey gardens documentary on ebay.
i do adore drew. she wore voluminous black sleeves on letterman, and had a tongue piercing! (she was also a bit kooky and manic.) what a babe. its just a shame that the new grey gardens is being released on american tv. what am i supposed to do all the way over here in australia?
also, everything is about cats this week. the kitten, my brand new $2.50 cats (the musical) jumper. now all i wanna do is draw girls surrounded by cats, which is very very grey gardens.

welcome to my new blog!

did i mention that im taking a year off from art school?
now i have alot of time on my hands.
so i have been drawing alot while watching tv. ive been drawing alot every single day, really!
i have five paintings in my room, ready to scan. and one painting that im having a dilemma with. paper skirt or no paper skirt?
so ive been going back to basics and drawing detailed faces in pencil, to strenghthen my skills and its so therapeutic too.
